Ayyub Vali Bux, the esteemed founder and Chairman of our group, has a truly inspiring journey that embodies a genuine rags-to-riches story. Born in India, he left for Zambia in 1973 to immerse himself in the world of business. By 1975, he had made his way to the United Kingdom, where he initially faced considerable challenges. However, his perseverance paid off in 1987 when he achieved a breakthrough in the denim industry, specifically in frost wash technology.

Since 1984, Ayyub has been a pivotal figure in the denim sector, pioneering techniques such as stonewashing, dyeing, and sandblasting. He became a leading influence in Europe and his success in the denim industry provided him with the means to invest in commercial real estate; a venture that has since flourished under his strategic guidance.

With 50 years of entrepreneurial experience, Ayyub continues to shape the strategic direction of our group by providing invaluable advice and insight. His dedication to family, charity, and a simple life makes him not only a great philanthropic entrepreneur but also an inspiring role model who has established the foundation for the broader Bux family in the UK to carry on his great work.

In 1999, Yousuf made the bold decision to venture into the commercial property sector, when he was just 17 years old. Fuelled by a vision instilled by his father who helped guide him, he redirected familial profits towards blue-chip real estate investments. He embraced the challenge of diversification and transitioned into land planning gain strategies in 2003, capitalising on emerging opportunities in land acquisition and development.

Yousuf has overseen the delivery of all of AIM’s investment and development projects. With an emphasis on quality and advancement, these have achieved a substantial GDV pipeline. In doing so, they have helped establish AIM as a key player in the sector and an organisation synonymous with aspirational property development, as well as his property expertise. His approach is marked by a steadfast dedication to maximising value. He navigates complex challenges passionately, turning obstacles into opportunities.

Yousuf’s leadership extends across all aspects of AIM’s operations, including accounting, legal, business development, planning, property development, and finance. He is able to respond quickly and decisively with his decision-making, with no investment board or investment committee to report into. Yousuf rolls up his sleeves to get the job done.
